BABY PHOTOGRAPHY Of course, our beautiful newborns grow into bouncy babies in a matter of months and our newborn photography evolves into baby photography meaning things turn really fun! We aim to tell your family story, featuring your bub and the joy that they brings to your family.
We recommend booking your baby photoshoot for around 9 -14 months, when your little one is more likely to respond to our games which are intended for maximum smiles and cute expressions! Traditionally, at this age, your baby may even know a few tricks like sitting and clapping, crawling or toddling all of which make divine memories and are a big part of your baby photography shoot. Of course, there are lots of hugs and giggle-inducing games involved.
Baby photography is often best done at home, in your garden or at your favourite park. These locations tend to be slightly quieter and therefore calmer, usually offering a good range of diverse lighting to utilise (eg: open skies with bright sunshine, dappled sunlight through trees or window light). The familiarity of shooting at home usually keeps everyone feeling relaxed, plus we can shoot in your baby’s nursery, on their favourite rug, or in their cot. Also means Mum and Dad don’t need to pack a bag or travel anywhere – double win! Clothing is simple for a baby shoot. Aim for soft, block colours (pinks, blues, greys with white and denim if you like), shoes optional. Cute hats/beanies for baby are encouraged!
We will aim to capture your photographic story in an hour of fun together, best scheduled for when bub is at his/her happiest, usually first thing in the morning. And great for us should bub fall asleep on the job (think dreamy sleeping angel pics)!
I can highly recommend Little Love Photography to capture the special early days of your little one's life. We had such a great day with Cristina on the day of the shoot and she was a pleasure to deal with both before and after the day. It's certainly not easy to take beautiful photographs of a newborn and Cris has the most calm and caring approach (she also has the most incredible settling and swaddling technique that I continued to use after the shoot)! Cris takes the time to get the right shots and makes everyone feel comfortable and relaxed. We never felt rushed or under pressure, and the day was a lot of fun. I am forever grateful for the photos we now have of our son in his first few weeks of life. We can't wait for our next shoot with Cris when our son turns one!"
“Wow and thank you so much, Cris! Your creative and photographic talent is truly amazing. How on earth do you capture my children so well? I’m blown away, each and every time I click the link you send me to view our family photos. I look forward to our annual pilgrimage to catch up with you, because the memories you capture for us are the best gift ever!”
