Your brand new beautiful baby has arrived safely! Oh the JOY!
From this moment, the special memories in life really step up. Bub seems to be changing so quickly and before long, won’t be quite as curled up as at birth. For this reason, we love doing newborn baby photography as early as possible. Ideally, your baby would be two weeks old or younger. However, the best time to shoot is when everyone is feeling happy and settled, once feeding is established and Mum has had some sleep (fingers crossed). We would much rather have a smiley mum in our photos so delaying your shoot is A-Ok. In actual fact, doing your newborn shoot when your baby is a few weeks old can give us more open-eyed baby photos and maybe even a newborn smile or two!!
It is always a good idea tobook inwith Little Love Photography as early as possible especially in regards to newborn photos. We schedule two tentative dates for your newborn photo shoot to maximise our chances of photographing your new baby under two weeks of age. Once your baby is here we will finalise the actual date of your shoot allowing time for you to get home and settle baby in. Newborn photoshoots are always shot in the morning and, because we understand life can escalate in levels of craziness once baby has arrived, we like to keep things simple by doing the shoot in your home.
At Little Love Photography, we consider ourselves as humble experts at keeping your newborn photo shoot easy, stress-free and super cute! Our approach to capturing the simple beauty of newborn photography involves a ‘lifestyle’ photo shoot where your bub stays wrapped, warm and happy. Keeping baby swaddled in sweet little blankets (which we are happy to provide) increases the chance of baby sleeping, which means the photo shoot is far more efficient, normally 60-90 minutes long. Within this time, we will aim to capture your baby on its own and snug in Mum and Dad’s arms. Little details will also be photographed like fingers, toes, lips and eyelashes. And, of course, we will attempt the priceless image of your new baby with older siblings!
I just saw the photos 5 minutes ago and I don’t know what to say. I bawled my eyes out from start to finish - they are a thousand times better than I hoped for and I am eternally grateful! I’m just so happy... and emotional!
Thanks again! So so happy! :) Mike absolutely loves them & thanked me for pushing him to do them!"
